The irony behind the American prison system - that holds so many serial killers waiting for death row all over the states - is so fuckin' beautiful and sutile at the same time: governors can actually award with death to some of their most hated criminals - they hate them because they give them problems - instead of punishing them. They seek peace and they are actually granted with it, instead of spending a boring endless rest-of-their-lives wait till death. That's one of the main reasons why Aileen Wuornos was so eager to be executed fast, and Jeffrey Dahmer looked so peaceful on court. And that's the reason, also, why Charlie Manson is so bored and graying old so quickly.
