stoned epiphany XV

Persuade me not to bite your finger off.

In a world when writing has more content than telling, yet less audience, I cannot stop thinking of the Roman oratorical masters: Cicero, Seneca. Rome was the place were rhetorics - as an art - had its zenith. Addressing the people in a beautiful way was considered POETRY. These days there are nothing but clowns misleading the masses, in a poor way - aesthetically speaking.

Look, folks, policy-makers, if you are gonna lie to us at least do it nicely: that means, not being so ridiculously obvious.
(Thank you).

stoned epiphany XIV

Lorenzo di Medici (1449-1492) - also called The Magnificent - influential Florentine art patron.

There are two types of talented people in this world: the ones that can make their own lives/thoughts worth of profit, and the ones that can make that profit possible dealing with the former creative people.
The strong feedback that exists between art and marketing has a name: sponsoring. The historical roots of art sponsoring can be found in the Renaissance among art patrons, as well as in the present day, among publishers.

stoned epiphany XIII

Even if it doesn't look evident to the naked eye, what ultimately makes a path not exist at all?
The main source of Philosophy is primarly autobiographical. - Nietzsche.
Anxiety is the hand maiden of creativity. - T.S. Eliot.
On destiny II:
Regarding the way these authors came to me during different epochs of my life - almost "by coincidence" - and having in mind the logic I have found among their perceptions on life and existence in general, It's hard for me these days to deny categorically the slight possibility that a destiny - no matter how fatal or mischievous it could be - can actually exist.
